We are not picky. Whether you have a stack of pristine GMA pallets or a pile of broken lumber, we see value in every pallet. Here is what we buy.

Molded wood pallets. We accept presswood pallets and can recycle the material responsibly.
Industries That Sell To Us
We buy pallets from businesses across every sector of the economy. If your operation handles goods on pallets, you almost certainly have surplus inventory we would like to purchase. Here are the industries we work with most frequently.
Warehousing & Distribution Centers
Distribution centers receive pallets with every inbound shipment and accumulate thousands of empties each month. We provide scheduled pickups that keep docks clear and turn surplus inventory into revenue. Many of our largest buying relationships are with 3PL warehouses that generate 500 to 2,000 pallets per week.
Manufacturing Plants
Manufacturers receive raw materials on pallets and often have no use for them once goods are unloaded. We buy these surplus pallets in bulk, providing a reliable disposal channel that also generates income. Whether you produce automotive parts, electronics, or consumer goods, we want your pallets.
Retail Stores & Chains
Retail locations receive merchandise on pallets daily. From big-box stores to regional grocery chains, the back rooms fill up fast. We work with store managers and corporate logistics teams to set up recurring pickups that keep receiving areas clean and operational.
Food & Beverage Processors
Food processing facilities handle enormous volumes of incoming pallets carrying raw ingredients. These pallets accumulate quickly and take up valuable cold storage space. We offer priority pickup for food industry clients because time-sensitive environments cannot afford pallet backlogs.
Construction & Building Materials
Lumber yards, hardware suppliers, and construction material distributors handle heavy-duty pallets that often end up damaged after a single use. We buy both intact and damaged construction-grade pallets and pay premium rates for the heavy hardwood lumber they contain.
Pharmaceutical & Medical Supply
Pharmaceutical companies use clean, certified pallets for GMP compliance. Once these pallets complete their cycle in the pharmaceutical supply chain, they are often in excellent condition. We pay top dollar for pharmaceutical-grade pallets because they command strong resale value.
Automotive & Aerospace
Auto manufacturers and aerospace companies use heavy-duty and custom-sized pallets to transport engines, body panels, and assemblies. These specialized pallets are often made from premium hardwood and carry significant resale value even after their initial use cycle.
Agriculture & Nurseries
Farms, nurseries, and agricultural cooperatives use pallets for everything from seed delivery to produce shipping. Seasonal operations generate large volumes of surplus pallets after harvest. We offer flexible seasonal pickup programs designed around the agricultural calendar.

We handle the pickup with our own fleet. You do not need to sort, stack, or deliver anything. Payment is processed promptly after pickup. It is that simple.
We Accept Pallets in Any Condition
Not sure if your pallets are worth anything? They probably are. Here is how we grade and price different conditions.
Grade A / Like New
Pallets in excellent condition with minimal wear. Fully functional with no broken boards, protruding nails, or structural damage. These command the highest buyback prices.
Grade B / Good Condition
Pallets showing normal wear from use. May have minor cosmetic issues but are structurally sound. Small repairs might be needed. Still valuable and readily accepted.
Grade C / Economy
Pallets with visible wear, missing boards, or minor damage. These are ideal candidates for recycling and repair. We accept and pay for Grade C pallets.
Damaged / Broken or Beyond Repair
Even broken pallets have value. We dismantle them for usable lumber, nails, and hardware. Nothing goes to waste. Contact us for pricing on damaged lots.
What Affects Pallet Value
Pallet pricing is not arbitrary. Several specific factors determine how much your pallets are worth on the open market. Understanding these factors helps you know what to expect when you request a quote and empowers you to maximize the value of your surplus.
Wood Species
High ImpactHardwood pallets (oak, maple, birch) command the highest prices because of their superior strength, durability, and longer repair lifespan. A Grade A hardwood 48x40 pallet can be worth 2 to 3 times more than the same pallet in softwood (pine, spruce, fir). This is because hardwood boards last through more use cycles and are more desirable as repair stock. If you know your pallets are hardwood, be sure to mention it when requesting a quote.
Pallet Size
High ImpactThe standard 48x40 GMA pallet is the most widely used and most liquid size in North America, meaning it holds its value well and sells quickly. Other common sizes like 42x42, 48x48, and 48x42 also have strong markets. Odd or custom sizes may have lower per-unit value because the resale market is smaller, but the lumber within them is always valuable. Oversized pallets (60x48 and larger) often contain premium lumber and can command strong prices despite their non-standard dimensions.
Condition & Grade
High ImpactCondition is the single biggest factor in pricing. A Grade A pallet that can be resold immediately without any repair work commands the highest price. Grade B pallets are still valuable but may require minor work. Grade C and damaged pallets are priced based on the recoverable material they contain, which is mainly the quality and quantity of usable boards. Even a heavily damaged pallet has value because the good boards within it can be salvaged for repair stock and the rest can be recycled.
Market Demand
Medium ImpactPallet prices fluctuate based on regional supply and demand. During peak shipping seasons like Q4 retail rush and spring agricultural season, demand for used pallets increases and prices rise. During slower periods, prices may soften slightly. We always price based on current market conditions and are transparent about how market dynamics affect your quote. Long-term recurring sellers benefit from more stable pricing because we can plan inventory around their supply.
Quantity & Consistency
Medium ImpactLarger quantities earn better per-unit rates because the transportation cost per pallet decreases and the operational efficiency of a large pickup is higher. A truckload of 400 pallets costs about the same to transport as a half-load of 200, so we pass that savings on to you. Consistent, recurring sellers also receive better pricing because predictable supply allows us to plan our inventory and logistics more efficiently.
Location & Accessibility
Low to Medium ImpactYour proximity to our Portland facility and the accessibility of your pallets affect pricing. Locations within our primary service area (Oregon, Washington, Northern California) receive the best rates because transportation costs are lowest. Pallets that are neatly stacked and easily accessible by forklift reduce our pickup time, which can positively influence pricing. If pallets are scattered across a large yard or require significant manual handling, this may be reflected in the offer.
The More You Sell, the More You Earn
Our volume pricing tiers are designed to reward businesses that sell larger quantities. As your volume increases, so does your per-unit rate, your pickup priority, and your payment speed.
| Tier | Volume | Per-Unit Rate | Pickup Coverage | Turnaround | Payment Terms |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Small Lots | 25 - 99 pallets | Standard Rate | Free within 25 miles | 48-72 hours | Check or ACH within 5 business days |
| Medium Volume | 100 - 499 pallets | 5-10% Above Standard | Free within 50 miles | 24-48 hours | Check or ACH within 3 business days |
| High Volume | 500 - 1,999 pallets | 10-20% Above Standard | Free within 100 miles | Same day to 24 hours | ACH within 2 business days or same-day wire |
| Enterprise | 2,000+ pallets | Best Rates (Negotiated) | Free within 200 miles | Same day, multi-truck coordination | Custom terms, weekly or bi-weekly settlements |
All pricing tiers include free sorting, counting, and grade assessment. Exact per-unit pricing depends on pallet type, condition, and current market rates. Contact us for a personalized quote based on your specific pallets and volume.
Environmental Benefits of Selling Your Pallets
When you sell your surplus pallets to us instead of sending them to a landfill, you are making a measurable positive impact on the environment. Here are the numbers that prove it.
Tons of wood diverted from landfills each year
Every pallet we buy is a pallet that does not end up in a landfill. Wood takes years to decompose in a landfill and releases methane, a greenhouse gas 80 times more potent than CO2 over a 20-year period. By selling to us, you are directly contributing to landfill diversion.
Trees saved annually through pallet reuse
The average pallet requires approximately 0.02 acres of timber to produce. By extending the life of existing pallets through our buying and repair programs, we reduce the demand for freshly harvested timber by the equivalent of 2,400 mature trees each year.
Lower carbon footprint vs. new pallets
Manufacturing a new pallet from raw lumber requires logging, sawing, kiln drying, assembly, and transportation. A recycled or repaired pallet skips most of these energy-intensive steps, resulting in a carbon footprint roughly 40 percent lower than a brand-new pallet.
Material recovery rate
Of every pallet we purchase, 95 percent of the material by weight is recovered and put back to productive use. Good boards become repair stock. Smaller pieces become mulch or biomass fuel. Metal fasteners are recycled. Nothing of value is wasted in our process.
We provide environmental impact documentation for all recurring clients. This includes the number of pallets diverted from landfills, estimated tons of CO2 avoided, and equivalent trees saved. This documentation is valuable for businesses with ESG reporting requirements, sustainability certifications, or corporate social responsibility programs.
Selling in Volume? Earn More.
The more pallets you sell, the better the price per unit. Our bulk buying program is designed for businesses that generate large quantities of used pallets on a regular basis. Set up a recurring schedule and watch the savings stack up.

How Columbia River Logistics Turned Surplus Into Revenue
The Situation
Columbia River Logistics operates a 200,000-square-foot distribution center in the Portland metro area, handling inbound freight for multiple retail and e-commerce clients. Each month, the facility accumulated between 800 and 1,500 empty pallets from incoming shipments. For years, the company paid a waste hauler $1,800 per month to remove and dispose of these pallets. The pallets took up approximately 4,000 square feet of valuable yard space and created safety and fire code concerns during peak seasons when volume surged.
Our Approach
We started with a free on-site assessment to evaluate the types, sizes, and conditions of pallets the facility was generating. The assessment revealed that approximately 60 percent of the pallets were Grade A or B standard 48x40 GMA pallets with strong resale value. Another 25 percent were Grade C candidates for repair. The remaining 15 percent were damaged but contained recoverable lumber. We proposed a bi-weekly pickup schedule with a guaranteed minimum per-pallet rate and a dedicated account manager.
The Results
Monthly revenue from pallet sales
Monthly hauling cost eliminated
Yard space recovered
Fire code compliance restored
“Before working with Pallets Reuse, we were literally paying to have a valuable asset hauled away. Within the first month, we went from a $1,800 expense to a $5,400 revenue stream. That is a $7,200 per month swing in our bottom line. The bi-weekly pickups keep our yard clean, and our dedicated account manager handles everything. It was one of the easiest operational improvements we have ever made.”
